Running MS Teams on a personal Computer (M365 Cloud Mailbox)


Users who have had their on-prem exchange mailbox migrated to cloud and who also use their personal Windows devices for MS Teams will have noticed their personal devices no longer meet the requirements to run their Enterprise MS Teams via desktop client

 The quick fix for this is noted below:

  • Pre requisites: you need to have setup your microsoft authenticator.
  • Install the Microsoft company portal on your personal computer.
  • Sign in with work credentials and use as the MDM url enrollment.manage.microsoft.com (see image below)
  • Follow and accept the prompts and you should be back online.
